Pity not the pretty things you break along the way.

so I’m currently packing up my entire life to come home from St Andrews next week. I’m excited for summer, for spending time with my closest friends, and my family, for the scent of blossoming flowers in our garden, and a constant supply of toast and tea.

My experience of Parenthetical Girls at Sounds From the Other City in Salford cannot be easily described. I won’t bother trying much. But it was amazing. Saying hey to Amber beforehand was lovely. I became far too closely accquainted with Zac Pennington’s shoes and crotch. They are wonderful live. (the band, not just the shoes/crotch)

UPDATE: I have more life drawing to post, some of which was up in a cafe in St Andrews (where I go to university) last week.

I’m currently working on a project of around 4 maybe 6 paintings/mixed media exploring childhood memory, I’m naming it ‘eternal renewal’, which seems falsely self important, but still.  I’m mainly looking at/thinking about distortion and nostalgia in many of my own memories.  There will be a story to accompany each picture.

follow my 2nd/new/current/art blog if you’re interested! xo

I am going to start using heartbroke-inchoate.tumblr.com as some kind of outlet for things I’ve made. I’ll leave this one up. We will see. I’m not convinced by myself.

every day i devote a small portion of my time to thinking about the following:

- Parenthetical Girls

- Guinea Pigs

- My mother

Current three favourite things.

so this is my room. i apologise sincerely for the horrible photo quality. being so close to the sea is wonderful. more soon.
